Kerela Gods own Country

"Kerela Gods own Country” Heard this before?. Do you know how Kerela got this name?. According to our ancient Hindu mythology, Kerala was created by Lord Parasurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu by throwing his ax across the sea to create new land for his devotees to live peacefully in harmony. So, Kerala is God's own creation, hence it is called God's own country!. Unlike many other parts of India, In every corner of Kerala, you will find Hindu temples, Christian Churches, and Muslim mosques. People living happily with great religious tolerance. That's why it is called God's own country, full of worship places!

Kerala was not a very known holiday destination, as most of the tourist circles focused on Northern India, especially Rajasthan and Agra. In the early 1980s, Kerala Tourism Development saw the potential tourism prospects of the state with the number of Nautal attractions. They Used the Name “Kerela, God's own Country” as their marketing campaign. It laid the foundation for the growth of the tourism industry in the state. With the new Marketing approach, Kerala's image got transformed as one of the top holiday destinations in the country.

Now some quick facts about Kerela, It is a Southern state of India, A biodiversity hotspot in Incredible India. With all elements of nature's touch, Kerala leads in many aspects like least population growth, sex ratio, literacy rate, and travel & tourism. Kerala is known as Keralam in the Malayalam Language.
